Grad School Update-age ;)

Here's an update for ya'll ;)

I went to North Carolina School of the Arts about a week and a half ago. I feel in love with the people and the campus is beautiful. It's an arts school - - they have money. That and everyone's there for the same reason. It's great. But touring the Design and Production school made me realize that their Arts Management program revolved around their theater school and that I wouldn't be able to do anything with their music school - not even lessons. So I had my interview (which actually went great) and discussed my options with the head of the department. We both realized it's not really for me. But I'm happy I made that decision on my own with out them rejecting me. :)

I have an interview with Florida State tomorrow. Phone interview. Wish me luck ;)

I came home from NED convention to find two letters in our mailbox. One from Boston University and one from New York University. To be honest, I didn't even care about NYU's letter. Stef and I weighed the letters and I noticed that BU's was slightly heavier - at LEAST 2 pieces of paper in there. They wouldn't stuff another piece of paper in there for anything if they were rejecting me. I opened them first to find that I was in fact ACCEPTED. WOOOOOTT! I looked at it and read it outloud to stef and it hadn't even hit me. I opened NYU to find no such luck but it doesn't even matter. I went back and continued reading the BU letter and burst into tears. I called my parents and they thought there was something terribly wrong with me. Then I told them and they were ecstatic.

If you couldn't tell, BU was one of my top schools (that and FSU).

So here's the lineup now..


Accepted: Shenandoah, Boston University

Rejected: NYU

Still Waiting: NCArts, FSU, Carnegie Mellon, UMiami

Offered Interviews: NCArts, FSU (tomorrow!!!)
