An update to the madness...

I called Admissions today... however, I waited till after I found out I wouldn't find out about my busted hard drive (yes, my external drive died and i'm trying to get my enormous amounts of photos and files off it) till tomorrow. So I figured, I was safe to call (long story - but the red sox are in the world series which makes me ridiculously superstitious).

I call and a girl answers the phone - in the past, it's always been a guy and I imagine it's the same guy. I was kinda hoping it'd be the same guy. Nonetheless, I spoke to the girl and explained the situation. Explained that there's been a problem with my transcript and that there's no reason it shouldn't be there by now. She tells me everything's set. I'm astonished! I explain I can't register for classes still and ask her to fix it online. I'm then told "ohhhhh. We don't have your final transcript". In my head I'm thinking "no shit...did I not just have this conversation with you?" but instead explain to her that it was sent out LAST Tuesday and there's no reason it should be there by now. I was told 7-10 days for processing and it is now 11 days. She tells me that it's 5-10 BUSINESS days. Normally, I'd think this was just a lack of communicating a simple word (business) in the last 6 phone calls I've made. But given that she said it was 5 days made me think she was full of shit and either doesn't know her job or pulling it out of her ass (or both). I explain that I'm not talking about this past Tuesday but a week and a half ago Tuesday. She doesn't understand. I explain to her I'm 97% positive that my transcript is sitting in their office as we speak. and then tell her that too many people are telling me different things and I'd like to speak to an officer or someone higher up.

THIS is the kicker. I get a "YEAH, whatever..." (valley girl style) and she transfers me.

The lady that then picks up the phone is really nice. I explain that I've had this problem for going on 2 weeks now and I really just need to register for classes. I tell her that there's no reason for this not to be fixed by now and I'm really frustrated because I'm getting (somewhat) different stories from everyone I speak to. I've called every day this week and nothing's been done. Then I tell her I was really upset with the attitude I got from the last girl I spoke to. She tells me she'll go check on something and she puts me on hold. About a minute or two later, she comes back and tells me that she's found my transcript and it's now in the hands of the processor so the stop should be lifted by the end of the day.
