I had my audition for large ensembles today. Right now, I'm just waiting for the results. I'm generally happy with my audition as of now... but we'll see what that really means come the email I'm waiting for.
I played the piece relatively well. A little nervous cause the orchestra conductor this year seems like a cold guy. Of course I bombed the sightreading. I even tried to really figure out the actual tempo with my watch, and failed miserably. Argh. Whatever. I don't care. After my audition, Chris came out and talked with me cause an oboist was auditioning. He said I sounded really good. I told him how I couldn't hear anything and that I can't tell. He said it sounded like I really practiced. Yay! Chris aproves :) We'll see if Rexroth does.
